Reuven Cohen, Serial Innovator / antipreneur
Waking up at 10:00 AM Reuven makes a 12-cup pot of coffee and heads to his home studio where he lazily smiles at last nights creation. After 12 years of online design work, he feels that this wallpaper could be his new favorite – until tomorrow. He is anxious to read the feedback on one of his many online forums.
Born on a kibbutz in Haifa, Israel, Reuven is the somewhat older twin born to a Canadian Father and Swiss Mother. While his early childhood was spent playing in burnt out tanks and bomb shelters, Reuven started at an early age to desire much more. Spending his latter childhood in Montreal and Saint John, Reuven quickly became the product of a craft genius mother and philosophical father. Creative by Nature – Passionate by Design, an artist was born.
Reuven’s somewhat official career began at the age of 13 as a beta tester for many first generation online services such as AOL version 1 (1991) and ImagiNation (Sierra On-line) online gaming community. By his late teens Reuven had already established himself as preeminent internet programmer and graphic designer being written up in international trade magazines and working for various websites, interactive firms and advertising agencies in the United States, Canada and Great Britain. His walls were filled with only homemade artwork, an easel in place of a television, a cramped bed secondary to a monitor.
Twelve years and more than 400+ websites later, Reuven can be found working with his current start-up Enomaly, and maintains a presence in New York City, Los Angeles and Toronto, with clients also in San Francisco, New Orleans, London, Chicago, Shanghai, Zurich, and Tel Aviv.
Reuven specializes in advanced internet website and development, web based business systems, CMS's and CRM's, interface & template design, advanced corporate identity, graphic art, and consults on the use and advantages of open source technology.
